Baking - Bread (part 2)

Second part of baking.

During our first hands-on activity, our class was divided into two groups, our group prepared the ingredients for Salty Pandesal, Ensaymada(commercial), and Tasty Bread. While the other group prepared Sweet Pandesal, Hot Dog Roll, and Cheese Bread.




Ingredients of Salty Pandesal:
Bread Flour – 1500 grams
Sugar – 120 grams
Salt – 30 grams
Shortening – 30 grams
Butter – 30 grams
Yeast – 12 grams
Water – 870 grams


Ingredients for Ensaymada (commercial):
Bread Flour – 1000 grams
Sugar – 120 grams
Salt – 20 grams
Shortening – 100 grams
Butter – 100 grams
Yeast – 18 grams
Egg – 100 grams
Water – 450 grams

Ingredients for Tasty Bread:
Bread Flour – 1500 grams
Sugar – 240 grams
Salt – 30 grams
Shortening – 150 grams
Yeast – 23 grams
Milk Powder – 150 grams
Water – 750 grams

Ingredients for Sweet Pandesal:
Bread Flour – 1000 grams
Sugar – 200 grams
Salt – 15 grams
Shortening – 70 grams
Butter – 70 grams
Yeast – 10 grams
Water – 560 grams

Ingredients for Cheese Bread:
Bread Flour – 1500 grams
Sugar – 300 grams
Salt – 30 grams
Shortening – 225 grams
Yeast – 23 grams
Milk Powder – 75 grams
Egg – 225 grams
Water – 615 grams

Toppings (cheese bread):
Milk Powder – 150 grams
Sugar – 130 grams
Butter – 90 grams
Flour – 50 grams

Ingredients for Hot Dog Roll:
Bread Flour – 1000 grams
Sugar – 100 grams
Salt – 20 grams
Shortening – 160 grams
Yeast – 18 grams
Egg – 50 grams
Water – 530 grams
Hot dogs




Our first day of experience on actual baking was so fun! And the breads that we all make were all delicious! :3
